Anton Koovit was born in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1981. He studied graphic design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, at ESAG Paris and at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Holland.
After finishing his graphic design studies in 2005, he continued to specialize in type design in the postgraduate course Type and Media (KABK) in Hague, Holland. Since completing studies in 2006, Anton set up his company Khork OÜ and works on a wide range of projects starting from exhibition design to designing logos, posters and typefaces.
In 2007, he moved to Berlin, Germany where in collaboration with Yassin Baggar he set up Fatype, a digital type foundry, to distribute his fonts and work on custom type projects.
In 2006-2012 Anton worked as a guest lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Since then he have read talks and taught workshops in Berlin Kunsthochschule Weißensee and as well to various private groups.
